Sándor, Petőfi: The poets of the nineteenth century
Pest, January 1847 (Morgan, Edwin)

Let no one with a languid finger
dare to sweep the strings today!
The lyre that's lifted up is ready
to get a great work under way.
If you can sing of nothing better
than your own joy or broken heart,
the world can do without your singing:
keep out, where you can have no part!

Experience and skills

• I have a long teaching and research experience in biology and chemistry. As Deputy Head of
Department, my task was to guide, assist and motivate the work of the lecturers, researchers
and laboratory assistants of the department.

• As a leading teacher, I taught in Hungarian and English in the fields of organic chemistry,
biochemistry, biotechnology, separation technology and plant protection chemistry. This included
the preparation and scheduling of the teaching material of the subjects, as well as the elaboration
and organization of the materials of the exercises. Perform related administrative tasks.

• As the leader in charge of the practical training, I coordinated the schedule of the exercises
and one of my tasks was to organize and manage the work of the laboratory technicians belonging
to the exercises.

• As head of the biochemistry laboratory, one of my responsibilities in addition to education
was to direct and conduct research work and to manage the work of laboratory technicians.
Writing scientific articles. I also managed the procurement and maintenance of chemicals and
tools as well as instruments.

• In doctoral training, teaching subjects Biochemical analysis, Analytical Biochemistry,
Protein sequence analysis methods, Enzymology and Basics of molecular modeling.
